Panamera to go diesel
|
PANAMERA POWER: It's likely that Porsche's four-door will be available with TDI engines from the VW group. |
Bosses at Porsche have given their strongest indication yet that there will be diesel versions of the newly launched Panamera four door coupe.
It is likely that familiar VW engines, including the three-litre TDI, will be seen in the Panamera. A similar strategy was used when launching the Cayenne diesel. At the top of the range we could even see the 240kW, 4.2-litre V8 diesel from the Audi A8.
All of the oil-burning engines would be tuned by Porsche for its own use, to ensure they offer the performance expected of the Stuttgart sports car maker. - Reuters
