AT LEAST 16 CONFIRMED ENTRIES
October 19, 2009

Preparations for the first appearance in Africa of the international Superstar Series for V8 production cars, to be run at Kyalami over December 12-13, have been given the green light by its organisers.
Gauteng Motorsport CEO Stephen Watson said: "We’re delighted to be the first country outside Europe to host a round of the series - its 2009 finale, no less!"
An entry of 16 cars has been confirmed with at least two for South African drivers able to raise the necessary sponsorship.
The Superstars race weekend programme will include free practice on Saturday from 11-11
Sunday's programme will feature two half-hour, one at 11.30am and the other at 3pm. There will also be support races on each day featuring several National circuit racing categories and there'll be a music festival with top Gauteng DJs on Sunday afternoon.
Superstars is in its sixth year and is one of the fastest-growing international series with strong backing from several manufacturers of luxury, high-performance, four-door sedans.
They include BMW (550i, M5 and M3), Audi (RS4), Jaguar (S-Type R), Chrysler (300C SRT8), Chevrolet (CR8), Cadillac (CTS-V) and Mercedes (C-63 AMG). The regulations allow for four-door V8 production cars of between three and seven litres capacity.
Grandstand and general admission tickets through Computicket.
