November 23, 2009

The Ford Motor Company of South Africa has named the man who will be its new boss from January 2010.

Jeffery Nemeth, current president of Ford Lio Ho in Taiwan, will replace current president and CEO Hal Feder to oversee Ford’s entire business operations in South Africa with responsibility for growing the Ford, Mazda and Volvo brands.

He will also be responsible for operations at Ford’s plants in Port Elizabeth and Pretoria and work with government, media, suppliers and trade unions.

Nemeth has extensive experience in Asia and North America, having held senior posts in management, finance and customer service for Ford Motor Company, Ford Credit and Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima, Japan since joining Ford in 1995.

Nemeth earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and master's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame in the US.

A Ford SA spokesperson said the moves were part of a normal rotation of senior executives but could not yet announce Feder's new assignment.
