Renault SA has introduced a standard five-year or 150 000km warranty on its latest products - whichever, of course, comes first.

Part of the French brand’s "110 percent customer commitment" campaign is already in effect on models introduced in the past 10 months - Twingo, Clio, Logan, Mégane, Scénic, Koleos and the locally assembled Sandero.

Régis Fricotte, Renault's marketing manager, said: “The extended duration of our warranty underscores the confidence we have in our new range across-the-board.

“It is great news for any buyer.”
