VW's Scirocco blows harder with 155kW engine

Volkswagen's sporty Scirocco coupe is now available with a two-litre, 155kW TSI engine to replace the 2.0 TSI 147kW engine.
This high-revving engine has 280Nm of torque from 1700 to 5200rpm and is similar to that of the latest Golf GTI.
The engine is available with either a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox or a six-speed manual
VW lists the car's fuel consumption as 7.4 litres/100km for manual transmission and 7.5 for the DSG.
Prices:
2.0 TSI - R325 200
2.0 TSI DSG - R339 700
The Scirocco is delivered with a five-year or 90 000km service plan, a three- year or 120 000km warranty and warranty againt rust-through. Service intervals 15 000km.

Your choice - six-speed manual or six-speed DSG
. It can accelerate to 100km/h in 6.9sec and top out at 240km/h with either gearbox.
